The Chicago White Sox are in Milwaukee taking on the Brewers at 1:10 p.m. They will have their home opener next week. More than 25 bars in Wrigleyville opened by 11 a.m. today to celebrate the festivities and Andre Dawson is doing a special appearance at CarVault by Tom Brady. While Alex Bregman couldn’t be more excited to be a Cub, Pete Crow-Armstrong (PCA) is probably smiling just as much after signing a new $115 million contract extension this week.

  • Storm Watch: Chicago’s streak of up-and-down weather continues today, quite literally. While temperatures were in the mid 60s this morning, there are reports of potentially severe storms this afternoon into this evening that could bring thunderstorms, hail, strong winds and a drastic drop in temperatures. For example, the Cubs game today may start in the low 60s and drop into the 40s by the time it ends.

  • Ann Sather: Ann Sather is closing its flagship location on Belmont Ave in Lakeview this summer, sometime in June or July. The iconic Swedish breakfast restaurant, best known for its cinnamon rolls, first opened at 909 W Belmont Ave in 2007. Ann Sather plans to look for a new location in the neighborhood, but has not secured a new lease at this time.

  • Delivery Robots: If you were on social media this week, you probably saw it; there were not one, but two robot delivery crashes in Chicago. Both instances involved a delivery robot shattering the glass of a bus shelter on the sidewalk. Representatives from the two companies involved, Coco Robotics and Serve Robotics, said they are aware of the incidents and are investigating what happened as they look to make improvements as part of this pilot program.

  • Mars Snacking: Global snacking giant Mars is expanding its Chicago footprint, bringing more than 600 new full-time jobs to the city as part of a $100 million investment. The company is growing its Mars Snacking division locally, adding several major business units and opening a new regional office hub in Fulton Market, along with a global office in downtown Chicago.

  • Cherry Blossoms: It’s almost time to visit Chicago’s beautiful cherry blossoms in Jackson Park!
