  • Taylor Swift Mural: It’s been a big week for all Taylor Swift fans, especially if you live in Chicago. ICYMI, to build anticipation for Taylor Swift’s new album (The Tortured Poets Department) that comes out tomorrow, her team installed coded pop-ups and murals in a select few cities across the globe. Chicago was one of them.

  • Michigan Ave Tulips: Spring is here, Chicago! Michigan Ave’s famous tulips have begun sprouting along the Mag Mile! Each fall, over 100,000 beautiful tulip bulbs are brought to Chicago from the Netherlands. Here’s how they look right now.

  • Michelin Brewery: If you are looking for a wow-worthy, Michelin star dining experience in Chicago for a special occasion, we recently visited Moody Tongue in South Loop and thought it was amazing! It’s the first two Michelin star brewery in the world! The 15-course tasting menu pairs innovative dishes with 10 different unique beers for a meal unlike any other in Chicago.

  • Koalas in Chicago: For the first time in 90 years, koalas will be coming to Brookfield Zoo. Starting on May 24, two 2-year old koalas named Brumby and Willium will be visible to guests thanks to a partnership with a couple San Diego-based conservation organizations. In case you were wondering, Lincoln Park Zoo does not have koalas.

  • Testaccio: Logan Square’s Testaccio has announced that they will be closing in 10 days on April 28. The Italian restaurant on California Ave. first opened in 2020. Soif Lounge, a French speakeasy, located below Testaccio will be closing as well. See the full story.

  • Chicago Sky: The WNBA Draft took place this week, and the Chicago Sky were one of the biggest winners. With their two top 10 picks, they selected college basketball stars Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese. When you combine that with the Caitlin Clark effect, it has caused a soar in ticket prices.

  • Soccer at Wrigley: If you are someone who appreciates unique experiences, Wrigley Field will be turned into a soccer field on Saturday, June 8 for the stadium’s first ever women’s professional soccer league match. Tickets just went on sale to the public yesterday.

  • Shakira: Chicago has been chosen as one of the concert stops for Shakira’s La Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour that will be taking place this winter. The Chicago concert will be at the United Center on Dec. 14. Pre-sale tickets are now live and general on-sale begins Monday, April 22 at 10 a.m. Tickets.
