  • The Freeze 2.0: Now here is the Chicago collab that we didn’t know we needed! The founder of Hogsalt has confirmed that he is working with his team to revive The Freeze ice cream stand at 2815 W. Armitage Ave in Logan Square that closed last year. This revival plan is going to be big because they will be fusing The Freeze with a new Small Cheval to transform the space and create an entirely new restaurant. Take a look at the renderings.

  • Home Alone House: The famous Home Alone house in Winnetka has come back on the market for only the second time since the movie was filmed. The 9,000-square-foot, five bedroom house was built in 1921 and completely renovated in 2018. The home is listed at $5,250,000. You have to see how cool the inside of this house is now. It even has an indoor basketball court! Watch this tour and check out the Zillow listing.

  • O’Hare of the Future: Renderings were just released for what the future of O’Hare Airport might look like as part of a “once-in-a-generation” transformation project known as the O’Hare 21 Terminal Area Plan. The long-term plan is to expand and modernize O’Hare Airport one step at a time. They began work on the project in 2023 and are now looking to focus on a new Satellite Concourse 1. See the full story and additional renderings.

  • The Bear: The official trailer for Season 3 of The Bear just dropped yesterday! The two minute video previews what to expect this season before all the episodes stream on Hulu on June 27.

  • Barnes & Noble: The world’s largest book retailer is officially back in Chicago after the company opened their new Lincoln Park store yesterday at the corner of Diversey and Clark. The store took the place of the former Urban Outfitters store that closed. People lined up down the block to be the first ones in the new store. Take a look.

  • Cicada Shots: And now here is the Chicago collab we most definitely did not need… In what might be deemed the most Chicago thing of all time, Noon Whistle Brewing in Lombard has created cicada-infused Malort shots and is selling them for $5 each. Would you expect anything less from Chicagoans? Watch this video and see the full story.

  • Loop DJ Set: At Daley Plaza in The Loop yesterday, there was a pop-up House Music event in the middle of the work day! This didn’t stop hundreds of Chicagoans from coming out to dance with some of Chicago’s best House DJs while on their lunch breaks.

  • Patio Dining: Summer is heating up! We recently visited a couple of great Chicago patios that should be on your list of restaurants to check out this summer. See our videos of TacoRio on the Riverwalk and DeNucci’s in Lincoln Park.
