Swim Club: The Friday Morning Swim Club team decided to cancel all remaining Friday swims at the lake for the season citing “last Friday’s events and complex communication between the city and Chicago Parks District. People left hundreds of comments on our post about it sharing their opinions on the news.
Belly Fat: A wild story from a recent White Sox game at Guaranteed Rate Field got a lot crazier this week after this Tweet from an ESPN Chicago reporter went viral. It seems like it’s fake, but it’s not. The Wieners Circle even changed their sign this week after the news broke.
Coal Fyre Festival: Thought you were done with the drama? Think again. The second annual Pizza City Fest took place last weekend and by all accounts it went about as poorly as it could have. Maybe worse. People have dubbed it the Chicago version of the Fyre Festival. Speaking of the Fyre Festival, did you hear that it’s going back for round two and the pre-sale tickets sold out?
Blue Supermoon: Did you catch the rare blue supermoon last night? Hopefully you did because the next one isn’t until January 2037. If not, here are some cool pictures of it from around the world. There was also a wild Full Moon Jam last night in celebration.

Bike the Drive: The annual event that shuts down Lake Shore Drive to bike riders is this Sunday. If you haven’t done it before, it’s a pretty cool opportunity to do something unique!
Subway in the Sky: Subway has created a flying restaurant. Yes, you read that right. Beginning next week, they will be serving their new sandwiches 1,000 feet in the air.
Cinnamon Crunch: Panera just announced a new Cinnamon Crunch Bagel breakfast sandwich and a Cinnamon Crunch Latte for the fall! However, rumors are swirling that they are getting rid of a lot of popular menu items.
