Chicago Restaurant Week 2024

Chicago Restaurant Week (CRW) is a 17-day celebration that highlights the best of Chicago’s dining scene. The 2024 edition returns tomorrow, Jan. 19 and runs through Feb. 4. This is a great opportunity to check out a new Chicago restaurant and possibly save some money in the process!

The four menu options to choose from for CRW are as follows: Brunch ($25), Lunch ($25), Dinner ($42) and Dinner ($59). It’s important to note that not all restaurants have a menu in each category, so plan accordingly.

After evaluating the CRW menu offerings for this year, we have landed on our five favorite for each meal category. And while these were the ones that resonated with us the most, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the same will hold true for you. You can find all the participating restaurants and see the full CRW menus here. Without further ado, our 2024 CRW menu picks!

Andros Taverna via Conde Nast Traveler

Our $25 Brunch Picks

1 | La Victoria Barra + Cocina Mexicana

This brunch menu is a great value if you go with the Steak & Eggs as your entrée (typically $21). On top of your main course, you will get to pick between Guacamole and Queso Fundido (make it a date and order both!). For dessert, you have three great sounding options to choose from.

2 | Andros Taverna

A four course brunch for $25? Yes please! You’ll get to enjoy a spread (Tzatziki, Spicy Whipped Feta and Santorini Fava Bean), the Andros salad, a choice of Chicken Souvlaki, Beef Keftedes or Seasonal Veggies and dessert (Kourabiedes or Loukoumades). The dinner menu is nearly identical to the brunch menu for over twice the cost, so be sure to go for brunch!

3 | Costera Cocina Tulum

Costera has one of the coolest restaurant atmospheres in all of Chicago! This cool, new West Loop spot makes you feel like you’re in Tulum. If you haven’t checked it out yet, their CRW brunch is the perfect opportunity. You’ll enjoy a three course menu for only $25. We’re ordering the Guacamole, Chorizo Breakfast Burrito and Coconut Rice Pudding!

4 | Gemini

This brunch comes with a Cocktail or Lemonade, a starter Coffee Cake or Salad and choice between an Omelet, Avocado Toast and Turkey Club. This seems like a safe option for a group where everyone would be happy. Plus, the cocktail options are great: Classic Mimosa, Prickly Pear Bellini or a Bloody Mary.

5 | Boqueria

With entrées typically ranging between $17-$19, you can be confident you’re getting a good deal with this three-course menu. Start with a tapa, then pick a main course and finish off with Churros Con Chocolate. There are five main course options on this menu, which are all strong options!

Via Franco’s Restaurant

Our $25 Lunch Picks

1 | The Perch Kitchen and Tap

The Perch makes our list because we would want to eat every single item on their menu. You get an appetizer, entrée and a house-brewed beer for lunch. The appetizers include Croquettes, Lobster Deviled Eggs and Filet Sliders. For an entrée, you’re picking between two salad options (Chicken & Ahi Tuna), a Grilled Mahi Mahi Sandwich and a delicious sounding Chicken Dip Sandwich.

2 | Cindy’s Rooftop

For this $25 lunch, you’re getting an appetizer, entrée and dessert, with a side of Cindy’s famous views. We’re likely starting with the Potato Bisque, but then would be torn between all three entrée options (Walleye Fish Fry, Orecchiette and Burger). Everyone gets the same Roasted Corn Panna Cotta for dessert.

3 | Orso’s

$25 at Orso’s gets you quite the lunch! You can get a glass of wine, salad, entrée and dessert. Plus, you get three to four choices for every course category! We have heard great things about the Jalapeño Gnocchi, and this menu deal is a great opportunity to try it.

4 | Jaleo

A four-course lunch at Jaleo for only $25?! This is sure to be a great deal. While it could be a smaller portion than usual, the CRW menu includes the Bikini de Sobrasada Ibérica, a phenomenal sandwich that typically sets you back $23 on the normal menu. Go with two or three friends to this meal in order to try a variety of items.

5 | Franco’s Restaurant

This menu looks solid. You get a three-course lunch for $25. First course options include Meatball Salad, Whipped Ricotta and Minestrone Soup. For your main course, pick between Fettuccini Alla Franco, Penne Buttera, Chicken Giardineria and a Grilled Chicken Pannini. Finish off your meal with the Gelato or Cannoli Dip for dessert!

Ina Mae Tavern via Matt Schwerin

Our $42 Dinner Picks

1 | Itoko

This menu appears to be delivering a really great bang for the buck. Not to mention, everything on the menu sounds delicious. Grab two friends and dine together in order to try everything! If we have to pick, we’re going with the Spicy Cucumber, Crispy Shrimp Maki, Chirashi Don and the Seasonal Kakigor.

2 | Ina Mae Tavern

If you haven’t dined at Ina Mae before, this menu might be your reason to! You’ll start the meal off with either Blackened Cauliflower or Hushpuppies (with pimento butter!). Then, pick between Fried Catfish Orleans and Blackened Salmon. Finish the meal off with some sweet Praline Beignets!

3 | Bambola

Now this is a deal! You’ll get four dishes for only $42. Plus, you are given so many options with this menu. We highly recommend going on a date here and share with your partner so you’ll get to try eight unique dishes for $84. What a way to experience a nice restaurant!

4 | Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

The restaurant claims you can get up to $61 of value out of this $42 dinner. You’ll choose one appetizer (seven options), one BBQ set (each include three proteins), one veggie (four options) and one dessert (three options). Your meal is also served with a Salad, Rice, Miso Soup and a Two-Piece Sushi. You are getting a lot of food with this menu, and you get the fun of grilling your meats and seafood yourself!

5 | Le Sud Mediterranean Kitchen

Le Sud’s three-course dinner provides seven options for the main course, which is the most important after all! The best value options are the Steak Frites ($35 typically), Chicken Tagine ($27) and Lamb Pappardelle ($26). In addition to the entrée, you’ll get a small plate (three options) and dessert (three options).

Coquette via Eater Chicago

Our $59 Dinner Picks

1 | Coquette

It seems like the Bonhomme Hospitality Group knows how to make the most of Chicago Restaurant Week, as Bambola’s sister restaurant Coquette also earns a spot on our list of CRW dinners to try. Coquette, a French restaurant, boasts an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else. With a four-course menu, it provides a great opportunity to fully experience the restaurant. We recommend choosing this spot for a date, allowing you to savor eight unique items!

2 | Parachute

Do yourself a favor and take a peek at Parachute’s CRW menu. This is one of Chicago’s best Korean restaurants, and their four courses sound like a journey of flavors that you won’t want to miss! We’re going with the Golbaengi Muchim, Haemul Pajeon, 30-Day Dry Aged Pulkogi and the S’mores Pat Bing Su.

3 | Holu

Holu, in Chinatown, is offering a steak tasting menu where you are able to try five different steaks, and three of the tastings are Wagyu! You also will get Salad, Pickles and Ice Cream to round out your meal. While this meal could leave you slightly hungry compared to other CRW menus, we think its a great option for meat lovers who want to sample and compare Wagyu to USD Prime.

4 | Daisies

Daisies is one of Chicago’s restaurant darlings that has only been getting more and more popular each year. CRW is a great opportunity to try a nice sampling of different dishes from the restaurant as part of their four-course menu, especially if you have a sweet tooth. Each course has three to four choices, and for the dessert, you get to choose three small bites out of a selection of six. We’re picking the Onion Toast, Pierogi, Ravioli, Gooey Butter Cake, Oatmeal Cream Pie and Warm Chocolate Bread Pudding.

5 | Mastro’s Steakhouse

Mastro’s Steakhouse is an excellent potential value, but only if you want the 8oz filet as your entrée. The normal menu price of an 8oz filet is $60 by itself, so this CRW menu makes for a great deal where you are essentially getting an appetizer and dessert for free! You also get to choose between three appetizer and dessert options.
