Chicago News
$1 Billion: That’s how much money Chicago White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf is asking Chicagoans to pitch in to help build the new South Loop baseball stadium. ICYMI, here are the renderings of what a potential stadium in “The 78” future neighborhood could look like. Reinsdorf says that if he doesn’t get the money, Chicago will be at risk of the White Sox leaving Chicago.
Feeling French: We have a new contender for the most stunning restaurant in Chicago! La Grande Boucherie just opened in River North this past weekend at the corner of Dearborn and Hubbard, so it’s not even a week old yet. The beautiful two-story restaurant makes you feel like you’re in Paris. Check out our visit and menu picks.
That’s Deep: A nonprofit called Diveheart has started fundraising towards a $300 million goal in an effort to build the country’s deepest swimming pool in the suburbs of Chicago in the next four years, and it looks like it’s going to be pretty amazing. Take a look.
Chicago Bears: The Chicago Bears have hired their first female coach in the organization’s 104-year history. Jennifer King will join the offensive coaching staff of the Bears as an assistant running backs coach. Learn more about the historic hire.
Professor Pizza: Next month, Roots will be closing their Old Town restaurant after four years in that location. It will be replaced by Professor Pizza in April, which you may recognize from the Tetto rooftop in West Loop. What does this mean for Utopian Tailgate, Second City and everyone else in the building? See the full story.

Poll Question of the Week
It's National Margarita Day! Would you say that a margarita is one of your favorite cocktails? |
Poll Results: Last newsletter we asked you if you went out or stayed home for Valentine’s Day and 74% of you said that you stayed in. We had a couple people mention that they got a heart-shaped pizza with one person saying:
“I always order a heart Lou Malnati’s pizza (fitting Chicago is #1 on the pizza front!). It’s my favorite holiday and yes, I’m single and love it!”

Today's Sunset in Chicago
The sun will set in Chicago this evening at 5:31pm. Which means the sun sets today eight minutes later than it did last week.
