Bears vs Packers: Football season is here! This Sunday is the first week of the NFL season and the Bears are playing the Packers at Soldier Field! Don’t have tickets? We are hosting a giveaway for two amazing tickets that ends tonight!
Taste of Chicago: The infamous food festival takes place this weekend (Friday-Sunday) in Grant Park. It was kicked to September this year due to NASCAR. See the list of 35 vendors attending and get the event information.
Restaurant Closures: The home of one of Chicago’s most popular burgers officially closed last week after 14 years in business. An iconic Andersonville restaurant also closed last week after 40 years in business.
Free Museum Days: September is filled with free museum days! There are 34 different chances this month as the big ones. Plus there is even a free museum day this Saturday!
Nude Beach: Wait what? Chicago has a nude beach? You aren’t the only one confused. Pranksters at Loyola Beach constructed a legit looking sign, printed the Chicago Parks District seal on it and planted it on the beach.
Peloton on Tour: If you are a Peloton rider, get excited because Peloton on Tour is coming to Chicago, and tickets go on sale at 11am today! And yes, Cody Rigsby will be there!

Starbucks BOGO: Beginning today, and every Thursday this month, Starbucks is doing BOGO fall drinks after 12pm via their app.
Umbrella Sky Project: The 325 brightly colored umbrellas suspended over an alleyway in Elmhurst will be coming down on Sept. 18.
Free Cookies: Tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 8) from 8am to midnight is Free Cookie Day at the Crumbl Cookies Lincoln Park location. It’s no purchase necessary and you get to choose the cookie flavor!
Professor Lightfoot: Lori kicked off her first fall semester as a professor at Harvard last week. She is teaching students how to run a city.
