Halloween Dog Party: Chicago’s cutest Halloween party is back for its 36th Annual Streeterville Doggy (and Kitty) Halloween Party! It takes place on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9-11am at the Museum of Contemporary Arts, and it’s free to attend!
Water Tower Place: Downtown Chicago’s most iconic shopping mall could be going through some major changes in the near future as the owner of the mall has hired brokers to sell or lease out the top five floors of the building to non-retail suitors.
Metropolitan Brewing: One of Chicago’s popular breweries is at risk of closing this winter. Metropolitan Brewing remains open for now, but they are at risk of closing according to Block Club Chicago. The owners filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection due to them owing more than $1 million back in rent.
Alliance Bakery: Chicago’s century-old bakery that opened in 1923 in Wicker Park is opening a second, larger bakery in West Town. If you don’t recognize the Alliance Bakery name, you probably will remember the neon sign out-front of their Division Street store.

Netflix: In what sounds like an April Fool’s Day joke, Netflix plans to open brick-and-mortar locations in 2025 that will offer food, merchandise and experiences.
