Chicago News

  • Naperville #1: It appears that people from Naperville no longer need to pretend they are from Chicago. A new ranking of 229 U.S. cities from Niche, an online database, has named Naperville the number one place to live in America. It was also named the best place to raise a family with the best public schools. See the list and where Chicago ranks.

  • Blommer Chocolate: If you have spent any time near West Loop, there is a good chance you have noticed the smell of chocolate in the air. Sadly, that will be going away soon as Blommer Chocolate will be closing down their 85-year-old Fulton River District manufacturing plant and cutting hundreds of jobs. See what people had to say about it.

  • Golfing at Wrigley: While baseball is top of mind today, how does a round of golf inside Wrigley Field sound? Yes, it’s really happening! Here is your chance to turn The Friendly Confines into your own driving range. You can join the VIP Waitlist for a chance to get early access for tee times.

  • Uncle Julio’s: Yesterday, Uncle Julio’s announced that their only Chicago location in Lincoln Park is now closed after more than 30 years. The Mexican restaurant also has locations in six different Chicago suburbs.

  • Tavern on Rush: The Viagra Triangle is set to reunite with one of its longtime friends as Tavern on Rush has announced they will be re-opening this summer. Their new location will be located directly across from their previous one on the corner of Rush and Bellevue. Learn more.

  • Krispy Kreme: The collaboration that you didn’t know you needed! The Golden Arches and Krispy Kreme are teaming up to bring fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts to all McDonald’s locations nationwide.
