Vienna Beef Plaza: Big news out of Chicago’s iconic hot dog supplier Vienna Beef this week as they announced they are building out a $20 million “Vienna Beef Plaza” in Bucktown (2501 N. Damen) that will feature a restaurant, retail stores, offices, an outdoor gathering space and more. See a couple more renderings and learn more.
James Beard Winners: The James Beard Awards ceremony took place in Chicago this week. It’s one of the food industry’s biggest recognitions in the United States. Chicago had five nominees up for different awards this year and two of them won! You might have been to their restaurants before! See who won!
Taylor Swift: If you follow us on Instagram, you know we were live covering the craziness that was Taylor Swift’s weekend in Chicago. She straight up took over the city for three days… We put together a recap of the entire 3+ hour concert in a one minute video, and we showed the insane crowds outside Soldier Field.
New York Bagels: If you’re a fan of New York bagels get excited because H&H Bagels from NYC is coming to Fulton Market in Chicago. We love a good NY bagel, and while we haven’t had these before, it can’t hurt to have more bagel options to choose from in Chicago.

Friday Morning Swim Club: Have you heard about Chicago’s Friday Morning Swim Club that takes place during the summer at Montrose Harbor? The first event of 2023 was last Friday and it had a huge turnout with over 1,000 people. It’s free to attend and people just go for fun. Check out this super cool drone video of the event. As the weather gets warmer, and so does the water, we bet it will only get bigger.
