  • The Bear: Yes, Chef! Season 3 of the popular Chicago-based TV show The Bear premiered on Hulu last night. Here is the Season 3 trailer if you want to get hyped, and here is an awesome video that takes you behind the scenes of some of the Chicago restaurants that have been featured in The Bear thus far.

  • Illinois Sinkhole: This one isn’t in Chicago, but it is an Illinois story that made national news. Yesterday, a massive sinkhole swallowed up part of a soccer field in the town of Alton, IL. You need to watch this video to see it for yourself. It almost doesn’t look real. Luckily nobody was injured or on the field when the collapse happened.

  • Street Closures: Thought driving in Chicago was difficult? It’s about to get a whole lot worse starting tonight. Major road closures will begin at 7pm this evening in preparation for the upcoming NASCAR Chicago street race on July 6-7. See which streets will shut down.

  • Legal Sea Foods: The long-awaited opening of the Boston-based Legal Sea Foods at Marina City Towers (taking over the Dick’s Last Resort space) is finally making progress towards opening. According to a press release, they will be opening in late July. The two-floor restaurant will have indoor and outdoor dining. Here is a glimpse of it.

  • Free Summer Concerts: Tuesdays on the Terrace just returned to Chicago this week! Every Tuesday from June 25 through Aug. 27, you can see a live outdoor concert for FREE on the back terrace of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. You are even allowed to bring your own picnic. See our video.

  • McDonald’s: In an attempt to start winning back customers after complaints that it was getting too expensive, McDonald’s this week introduced the $5 meal deals shown above and announced Free Fries Fridays for the rest of 2024.

  • Chicago Bulls: The 2024 NBA Draft was last night and the Chicago Bulls had the 11th overall pick. The player they selected grew up just outside of Chicago in Hinsdale. See who it was.

  • Sabrina Carpenter: The Short n’ Sweet Tour will be stopping in Chicago this fall at the United Center on Sunday, Oct. 13. Tickets to see go on sale to the public tomorrow at 10am.
