  • November Holiday Events: Welcome to November, Chicago! The city comes alive in November with so many amazing holiday activities. We are truly spoiled to live in a city that does so much for the Christmas season. We put together a list of five of the best FREE holiday activities coming to Chicago this month.

  • Weekend Plans: Looking for something fun to do this weekend before all the holiday festivities begin? Well there is plenty happening as Chicago always has a ton going on! Activities this weekend include two different film festivals, a beer and pizza fest, A Conversation with Larry David, Lupe Fiasco at the Salt Shed, the Chicago Toy & Game Fair and more. See a full list of things happening this weekend.

  • Restaurant Closings: It has been a tough week in Chicago for many restaurants as a handful of places announced that they will be shutting their doors permanently in the coming weeks. Places include mainstays like Bar Cargo in River North, Taqueria Chingon in Bucktown and more. See our video with a list of five spots that we are sadly losing.

  • 50 Best Restaurants: TimeOut Chicago has put together their list of “The 50 Best Restaurants in Chicago you have to try in 2024.” They highlight the fact that the best restaurants in Chicago come in all different shapes and sizes and that they include both Michelin-starred restaurants and pizza joints. See their rankings list.

  • Google Store: The Midwest’s first ever physical Google retail store has just opened in the Chicago suburbs at the Oakbrook Center mall. At the store you can try a variety of Google products like Pixel device, Nest cameras, Fitbit trackers and more. Get a first look.

  • Napoleon Dynamite: The cast of Napoleon Dynamite will be in the Chicago suburb of Skokie tomorrow (Nov. 8) for Napoleon Dynamite Live - 20th Anniversary Celebration. It will be a “hilarious conversation full of comedic highjinks” with the main cast, plus a screening of the movie. Tickets.

  • Starbucks Holiday Season: You know the holiday season is unofficially here when Starbucks brings back its iconic red holiday cups. The coffee chain launched their 2024 holiday menu in stores today with eight drinks and six food items.

  • Elf’d Up: Do you remember how Halloween was exactly one week ago? Well, Chicago wastes absolutely no time getting into the Christmas spirit as the first holiday pop-up bar of the season is already set to open Saturday, Nov. 9. It feels a little Elf’d Up, doesn’t it?!

  • Free Museum Days: November is a great month in Chicago to visit one of the city’s iconic museums! The weather is still nice but getting a little colder, and the holiday swing isn’t in full force yet. See the museum free days this month.
