  • The market will take place at Morgan MFG (401 N. Morgan St.) in West Loop’s Fulton Market this Sunday, July 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • You can eat and drink while you shop local vendors in the air-conditioned indoors. You can also bring your dog and there is even some free parking. Plus July 14 is Bastille Day, so they will have macarons, red wine, bread, pastries and other French items!

  • Tickets are either 1 for $8 or 4 for $20 if you buy them online in advance! As a heads up, they are more expensive at the door, so get yours now.

  • 50 Best Restaurants: Chicago Magazine has unveiled its 2024 list of their top 50 restaurants in the city, ranked in order. Often referred to as Chicago’s premiere food destination, West Loop is impressively home to three of the top four spots on their list. How many of the top 10 spots have you been to personally?!

  • Mag Mile of the Future: The design firm Gensler released digital renderings this week of a reimagined Michigan Avenue and Oak Street Beach in Chicago. The firm suggests that the Mag Mile and some of its surrounding areas are more than due for a transformation as one has not taken place since the 1990s. Watch this recap video.

  • 15 Best US Cities: Speaking of rankings, Travel + Leisure just published their World’s Best Awards for 2024, which includes a ranking of the 15 Best Cities in the United States. Over 186,000 readers completed the 2024 survey to determine the results. See where Chicago placed on the best cities list and see which city won first place for the 12th straight year.

  • Revival Food Hall: Last week, Revival Food Hall in the Loop announced that it would be closing at the end of July after eight years in the space. Yesterday it was announced that the marketplace will now remain open under new owners (STHRN Hospitality) and likely a new name.

  • Illinois Olympians: With the 2024 Summer Olympics beginning at the end of this month, NBC Chicago put together a list of the Illinois athletes who will be representing Team USA as they go for gold during the summer games in Paris.

  • Millennium Park Movies: The free 2024 Millennium Park Summer Film Series (full schedule) begins this Tuesday, July 16 with a double feature of E.T. and Jurassic Park. Get all the details.

  • Love Isn’t Blind: A comedy dating game show called Love Isn’t Blind where the men can’t speak is coming to Chicago on July 18. The fun dating experiment runs through a series of games for one lucky bachelorette who then goes on a date with the winner immediately afterwards.
