Riot Fest: In a surprise move, Riot Fest not only announced their full lineup yesterday, they also shared that they are moving its location from Douglass Park in Chicago to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview and changing its name to RiotLand. See the full story. The three-day music festival will take place Sept. 20-22. The problem? The Chicago Red Stars already had a home game scheduled for Sept. 21 at SeatGeek Stadium…
James Beard: The 2024 James Beard awards took place this week in Chicago! In case you are unfamiliar, the James Beard Awards are one of the highest honors in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Chicago was well represented with four finalists, but only one of them came away a winner. See who it was.
Signature Room: The former Signature Room space on the Hancock’s 95th and 96th floors has been sold. 360 Chicago, the owner of the observation deck on the 94th floor, announced that they have purchased the space. They said they are exploring options for the space but don’t plan on opening another restaurant.
Father’s Day Festivals: If you are looking for something to do with dad this weekend, there are a bunch of street festivals taking place including Ribfest, Taste of Randolph, Gold Coast Art Fair, Taste of Chicago Rogers Park and Sundays on State.
Train Rave: In other Chicago music news, the Redline Express, a one-of-a-kind party on the CTA, is taking place this weekend. The train rave will have three DJs across six train cars. Tickets were $75 but are currently sold out. Maybe they will host more in the future! Would you want to? Vote below!
