Lollapalooza: Chicago biggest music festival officially begins today. Lollapalooza will take place Aug. 1-4 in Grant Park. You can watch the Lolla livestream on Hulu (TV schedule) all weekend, and you can still buy Sunday general admission sticks if you are looking to go in person. Chicago Bears: Would you believe us if we told you that the Chicago Bears have a game tonight?! Well you better believe it because football is back. The Bears are playing the Houston Texans in the annual NFL Hall of Fame game at 7pm tonight to kick off the 2024 NFL preseason. On a separate note, did you see how Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore signed his new contract?
Ducky Derby: The iconic Ducky Derby returns to Chicago next Wednesday, Aug. 7. Splashdown takes place at 1pm at the Columbus Bridge. Their goal is to have 100,000 rubber duckies compete in the race down the Chicago River this year. You can still adopt one with proceeds benefitting the Special Olympics of Illinois.
Taste of Chicago: Taste of Chicago will return to Grant Park from September 6-8 this year after once again being bumped from its July slot by NASCAR. The full lineup of restaurants and singers was just announced with CeeLo Green headlining the event.
Free Museum Days: August is here and that means a new set of free museum days for Illinois residents at Chicago’s most iconic museums. We rounded up a list of 22 days to take advantage of.
