Guinness Brewery: Will you look at that, today’s long-awaited opening of the new Guinness Open Gate Brewery in West Loop perfectly lines up with National Drink a Beer Day. We genuinely don’t know if it’s coincidental, but we’d like to think it’s not. We did get to preview the space this week though, and know that it’s awesome! Take a look.
Portillo’s: Chicago’s restaurant darling announced plans to expand aggressively (and that might be putting it mildly) over the next couple decades. They currently have 77 restaurants, and their goal is to add 920 more in the next 20 years. See what people had to say about it.
Club Midway: For the first time in its history, Chicago’s Midway Airport will be getting a lounge. It will be called Club MDW and is set to open during fall of 2024. The 3,300-square foot club will be located at the intersection of concourses A and B and won’t be affiliated with an airline or ticket class.
White Sox: The Chicago White Sox decided to do a fan appreciation game today with $1 tickets and free parking for their 1:10pm game against the Diamondbacks. People might have been roasting them a little bit in the comments of our video, but the team says that they pretty much sold out for today.
Farmers Market: The Logan Square Farmers Market is one of the most popular in all of Chicago. In fact, it’s gotten so popular that they now are closing additional streets to make room for 40 additional vendors.

Pickleball: Thanks to Lollapalooza, yes really, the Chicago Park District just opened 16 new pickleball courts at 9th Street and Columbus Drive in Grant Park, and they look great!
Date Night: Looking for a great Italian restaurant for a date night in Chicago? This one is pretty difficult to get a reservation to, but if you can, it’s worth checking it out. We loved it!
