Taste of Chicago: Chicago’s most famous food festival returns this weekend from Sept, 6-8 in Grant Park. It’s free to attend and will be open from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. all three days. There will be 40 food vendors and eight performers on the Chicago main stage. See what restaurants will be there and who will be performing at the Taste of Chicago.
Foxtrot: The fancy convenience store Foxtrot is set to reopen its first location today since it declared bankruptcy earlier this year. The first one that they will be reopening is their Gold Coast location at 23 W. Maple. They will be serving free coffee from 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. along with some free food samples. DINX Social Club : The northern Chicago suburbs are getting a massive new pickleball club. DINX Social Club, which is being referred to as a “luxury pickleball and golf-focused experience” will be opening in Highland Park this winter. The 23,000 square-foot venue will feature double digit courts, a cafe and shop. Is pickleball here to stay?!
Free Museum Days: September is here and that means a new set of free museum days for Illinois residents at Chicago’s most iconic museums. We rounded up a list of 34 days to take advantage of. Plus, the MSI is free for half of September!

Best Midwest Pizza: Just in time for National Cheese Pizza Day today, Yelp has put together a ranking of the Top 100 pizza spots in the Midwest for 2024, and five Chicago restaurants made the list, including one spot ranked as high as #3 overall. Guess we will need to road trip and visit the other 95 places…
Alice & Wonder: One of Chicago’s favorite boutiques for Chicago-related merch, Alice & Wonder, is set to open their fourth shop and first downtown location at 611 N. State St. in River North. Get all the details.
Mini McFlurry: Here is some big news for those who like a little treat. On Sept. 10, McDonald’s is launching the Mini McFlurry in two permanent flavors (Oreo and M&M) and rotating, limited-time flavors (like Kit-Kat Banana Split).
